Installation Help (Volume Installer) (Mac)

Before you begin ensure that Microsoft Word is closed. Cancel this installation and close Word before proceeding.

If you have purchased a volume EndNote site license:

Make sure EndNote is licensed for the appropriate number of users.

Make sure that each computer is running under Macintosh OS X (Intel only) versions:

• 10.6.x (Snow Leopard)

• 10.7.x (Lion)

• 10.8 (Mountain Lion)

Follow the instructions on the screen. You will need to enter the name of the Licensee and a valid volume product key. You must also accept the terms of the volume license agreement.

The customizer will create a new disk image titled EndNote X9 Site Installer.

If you have purchased an individual EndNote license or wish to try a demonstration version of EndNote:

1. Click Cancel.

2. Drag the EndNote X9 folder to the Applications folder on your hard disk.

3. Double-click on the Applications folder, then the EndNote X9 folder, then the EndNote X9.app.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

If you are installing the full version of EndNote, you will need a valid product key. If you are upgrading from a previous version, you will also need your previous EndNote product key or serial number.

If you are installing the Demo version, select the button to evaluate EndNote. You do not need a product key or serial number to install the Demo version of EndNote.
